About Us

Mess to Masterpieces Consulting is an applied social science, advisory, counselling, and investigations practice grounded in one core belief:
people and places already hold the answers - our role is to help make them visible.

Founded in 2008 (formerly Fresh Perspectives), the practice is led by Dr Jessica Sneha Gray, a Certified Clinical Sociologist whose work spans health, finance, academia, media, and complex organisational environments. Our approach is evidence-informed, human-centred, and deeply practical - bridging theory with lived experience.

At the heart of our work is a commitment to fairness, dignity, and clarity. Whether working with individuals, organisations, or communities, we focus on understanding behaviour in context - without fear, favour, or presupposed judgement.

Academic and Professional Foundations

Real -World Experience That Matters

Understanding people requires more than textbooks. It requires immersion.

Over the past two decades, Dr Gray has worked across a wide range of sectors including:

  • Healthcare - including Auckland Hospital

  • Financial and corporate environments -ANZ, BNZ, KPMG

  • Academic institutions – University of Auckland

  • Media and journalism - Indian Express Newspapers

  • Freelance investigations - various

These roles were not accidental. Each was chosen to engage directly with the real conditions in which human behaviour unfolds - pressure, power, vulnerability, conflict, identity, and change. This breadth of experience informs a grounded, balanced perspective that avoids theory in isolation or practice without insight.

Our Approach

We work collaboratively, not prescriptively.

  • Advisory, counselling, and investigations are conducted with people, not done to them

  • Objectivity, ethical restraint, and contextual understanding guide every engagement

  • Investigations are approached with a view to improving situations, not escalating harm

  • Individuals and organisations are treated as capable agents - you hold the power; we work alongside you

Our work is especially suited to complex situations where behaviour, systems, and place intersect -and where clarity, fairness, and human understanding are essential.
